Dear Friend,

On Sunday, June 8th 2008, my daughter was in an automobile accident. She was in the Hospital in Des Moines Iowa for 31 days, Intensive Care for 11 days, and finally got to return home July 9th. She had severe Brain trauma, multiple fractures to her neck, shoulder, arm, and pelvis. She has no Insurance and no money, nor do I, or the rest of her family.

Angie's mom, Cheri, whom she's living with, is disabled and on a fixed income. Her step father, Rick, is also having a lot of medical problems and has been hospitalized three times in the last month. He's in the Hospital as I write, and I think he's had a stroke.

Just traveling from where she lives to the Doctor visits every two weeks, is a $65.00 trip and rising, just for gas. Just one of the medications she takes for her brain njury costs $600.00! Her unpaid Pharmacy bill for July was over $800.00. The bills just keep piling up. The State of Iowa has refused her Medicaid!
